The science behind Samplix has emerged from microbiology activities at BioGasol, by developing a new method of enriching a culture with a specific genetic variation, with potential of being taken into the DNA realm.

This method, PINS – Probability-directed Isolation of Nucleotide Sequences, enriches the frequency of a mutated gene prior to analysis by the latest next generation sequencing techniques. PINS has various promising application areas, including cancer diagnostics.

Samplix was spun out of Estibio in 2013.
