Futuris’s aim is to develop an industrial activity in the field of renewable energies using biomass plants, and to become a key player in this sector in the medium term. The projects are currently carried out in Italy, and will be gradually expanded to other countries, especially in the Mediterranean area.

Futuris is benefiting from the favourable Italian regulatory regime for biofuel derived electricity. The founder of Futuris is a recently retired COO of the world’s fourth largest cement producer, who has strong relationships with industrialists throughout Southern Europe. The company aims to become an IPP (independent power producer) and to complete an IPO in 36 months time.
